ADOPTION GUIDELINES
Our priority is to find the perfect match for both the dog and the potential adopter.

Anyone interested in adopting must contact us and outline what kind of dog you are searching for (breed, energy level, size, personality), your lifestyle if you have anyone else (pets or kids) living at home, your experience with dogs, why you want a dog, and why you think your family could provide a great home for a dog.
We will pair you up with dogs that suit your lifestyle and experience.
Potential adopters will be given full disclosure on any behaviours or medical issues the dog has. We DO NOT adopt out dogs with a bite history as it is a liability and public safety issue. Any behaviours exhibited after adoption that was not present at the sanctuary is not the liability of the sanctuary.
Potential adopters must foster two weeks prior to adopting. This is to ensure the placement is a good match for everyone.
Additionally, adult dogs will not be adopted out until they are spayed or neutered. This is done to assist with the overpopulation of dogs in the Yukon and elsewhere. Spaying/neutering can also help prevent certain unwanted behaviour. All dogs are vaccinated for parvovirus, distemper, and are dewormed prior to adoption.
